Deutsche Krebsgesellschaft e. V. (German Cancer Society)

The Deutsche Krebsgesellschaft e. V. (DKG, German Cancer Society) - a successor organization of the "Comité für Krebssammelforschung" founded in 1900 – is the largest scientific-oncological society in the German-speaking world. The more than 8,000 individual members in 25 working groups, the 16 national cancer societies and 36 supporting members are involved in the research and treatment of cancer. The DKG is committed to cancer care based on evidence-based medicine, interdisciplinarity and consistent quality standards and is a co-initiator of the National Cancer Plan (Nationaler Krebsplan) and partner of the "National Decade Against Cancer" ("Nationale Dekade gegen Krebs").
